In Health and wellness

For the past five years, we have organized flu shot clinics for our members and other employees in the construction industry. As we all know, this year is a little different. And the flu vaccine is more important than ever.

We understand it may be challenging for each of your employees to attend the clinics. There may also be concerns surrounding safety indoors. Here’s how we’re preparing for a COVID-19 flu shot clinic.

Appointments Only

Last year we allowed drop-ins at our flu shot clinics. For the safety of all those involved, this year everyone who wishes to get vaccinated must make an appointment. Book your appointment at…and select the location most convenient for you.

For those who are unable to attend the flu shot clinic, at their request, we will administer certificates for vaccination that can be taken to any London Drugs location. All they have to do is present the certificate and receive their free vaccination.

Sanitization

Last year we were able to accommodate 12 vaccines per hour. This year we will be able to accommodate 8 vaccines per hour. This is to ensure that the nurse has enough time to properly clean the vaccination area between patients.

Social Distancing

After each vaccination, patients are required to wait 10 minutes before leaving the building. This ensures they have no adverse reaction to the vaccine. Only 4 people will be allowed to sit in the waiting room at that time. Juice boxes and granola bars will be placed outside the exit for patients to take on their way out.

Personal Protective Equipment

Face masks and personal hand sanitizer will be provided on-site. If you have any cold or flu-like symptoms or have been around anyone exhibiting these symptoms, please stay home.
