In BCCA EBT Updates

December 12, 2020

Eye Exams

Routine eye exams are an eligible expense for reimbursement through your extended health plan. Effective January 1, 2021, your plan will now cover eye exams up to the reasonable and customary fee limit in your area (previously your plan covered $70 for adults every 24 months and $70 for children every 12 months). Please forward the attached update communication to your employees. If you have any questions about this, contact hr@bccabenefits.ca.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

COVID-19 has made enhanced cleaning practices mandatory in order for practitioners to resume operations. As a result, many practitioners are passing along these fees to patients. In an effort to alleviate the financial strain on employees, your employee benefit plan will now cover PPE fees up to a maximum of $20 per visit.
