BCCA Retiree Plan
Congratulations on your retirement! You have the option to convert to a personal health insurance plan with Pacific Blue Cross created specifically for retirees. Through this plan offering you can ensure continuous coverage for health, prescription drugs and dental expenses with no medical questionnaire.
To transition to a BCCA personal health insurance plan for your retirement, you must be 50+ years of age and apply within 60 days of the date on which your group benefits coverage was cancelled.
The BCCA Retiree Plan provides coverage as follows:
Health
Covers 80% of the following eligible expenses:
- Vision care
- Registered therapists
- Hospital accomodation
- Medical services and supplies
- Nursing care
- Ambulance services
- Out-of-province, in-Canada travel
- Accidental dental
- Accidental death and dismemberment
- Final expense benefit
- Survivor benefit

Dental (Optional)
Covers 80% of basic services such as regular cleanings every 9 months and endodontics (root canals). The plan also covers 50% of major services (bridges, crowns, etc.). Choose from the Silver or Gold dental plan, which offer different annual maximum limits.
